John Wood and Paul Harrison: Nothing Special
John Wood and Paul Harrison's new DVD - 'Nothing Special' - is launched tomorrow night at Carroll/Fletcher gallery. It's co-published by LUX and Carroll/Fletcher and includes a selection of video work from 1993-2011.
The DVD also contains a number of extras, including my video interview with the duo made for TateShots in 2008, which focuses on their series Twenty-Six (Drawing and Falling Things) 2001.
I'd been a fan of Harrison and Wood's work ever since seeing their exhibition at the John Hansard Gallery back in 1999, so it was really quite astonishing to visit them in their studio and hear the stories behind the work- and it's a bit of an honour to see the resulting film on DVD.
'Nothing Special' can be purchased here for £20.
